Our Terms
We guarantee all our guests a non-smoking environment in all our bedrooms and guest areas. Therefore if smoking is discovered in a bedroom an additional night's charge will apply to cover the fee for the following evening as the room will become unusable.
Booking Acceptance
We require a valid credit or debit card number before a booking can be accepted. We do not charge extra if using a credit card.
Cancellation Policy
We require 21 days notice of any cancellation of our rooms or long stay parking arrangements. A lesser period of notice will result in a 75% charge of your whole stay if we are unable to re-let the room(s). We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover this eventuality. www.guestfirst.co.uk offers a suitable scheme.
Pets We do not accept any pets apart from guide dogs.
Children We regret that we do not accept children under the age of 10 years.
Check-in time is between 16.00 hrs and 20.00 hrs.
If you are travelling on the night train or another earlier train we are happy to take your luggage here so you can enjoy the rest of the day, but please let us know in advance. If you intend to arrive after 22.00 hrs we may not be able to except the booking as we do not like to disturb our guests with late arrivals.
Check-out time is by 10.00 am on day of departure as we need to get our rooms beautifully clean for the next arrival.
Accessibility please be aware that we are a grade II listed house and that we have 10 granite steps to the front door. We also do not have a lift to serve the 1st and 2nd floors. Our car park is just to the front of the building.
